Ive had no problem on more mellow entry level boxes and bonks but its not something Id like to ride on more technical advanced jibs. It doesnt pop very well but it has a very rubbery feel that can handle all types of terrain without getting cranky underfoot as long as it is at slower speeds. With a competitive price and up-to-date technology, this board is a strong top contender for every all-mountain/freestyle board out there. The Jones Mountain Twin cant hang with the more directional Jones boards in the line but really does well for a Directional Twin with a centered stance. It also doesnt punish you in inconsistent end of the day snow like some stiff boards do. That combined with the slam back inserts ( 1 x 2 set 1.5 back) makes it a great take on a modern all mountain board. It was also very easy to pop off natural terrain. Edge Hold: The Jones Mountain Twin in our opinion has just the right amount of edge hold. Set Up: Centered 23 wide 15 front -15 back. yes standard vs jones mountain twin - mail.zipperdown.org It has much more of a normal snowboard feel and isnt over grippy but when you hit a hard patch its definitely helpful compared to a board without it. Set Up: Guys- Centered approx 23 wide 15 front -15 back Girls- Set Back 10 mm 15 front -6 back. I thought about trying the 153 but the max stance width is 22.1 so I couldnt even get to my minimum 22.5 stance width for that board. 154: 8-9 So overall we love the blunt tip/tail, the addition of middle bite tech and feel its still a great board. So if you want to use the slam back inserts a 21.5 stance width is whats required. Some people love it, some people hate it (I'm among this group), and some people can take it or leave it. Edge hold was fantastic. That way there are more options for different types of discs on different types of bindings. Pipe: Its just the kind of pipe board a really accomplished rider will like but its not a forgiving easy ride for those that arent that strong.
